Centaur acquires equity stake in Mind-Advertising.com
Centaur Communications has acquired an equity stake in Mind-Advertising.com, the online business information resource for the advertising and marketing industry. The site will operate as a joint venture between Centaur and Simon Tesler, founder and publisher of the site, which was launched in 1998.
Mind-Advertising.com publishes business and marketing profiles of the world's leading advertisers and advertising agencies, including history, market position and financial information. The site, which is at

, includes extensive brand, corporate and worldwide links for leading companies, covering more than 50 countries worldwide.
Centaur Communications launched mad.co.uk, its portal site for the marketing, media, new media, advertising and design industries (
www.mad.co.uk
) in July 1999 and close links will be established between the two sites. Centaur already publishes a range of leading magazines in this area including Marketing Week, Design Week, Precision Marketing and Creative Review.

Simon Tesler has considerable experience of consumer and business publishing. During the Eighties, he was co-founder and editorial director of style magazine BLITZ. In 1991, he launched information services company The Magazine Business, publishing a range of directories and newsletters on the international periodical publishing industry. In 1995, The Magazine Business was acquired by Pearson plc. Simon worked at Pearson for two years, during which he became managing director of the marketing directory ALF and electronic databases Genesis and Apollo. He left Pearson in 1997 to launch Mind-Advertising.com. He is also a director of interactive agency WorthMedia.net and a member of the Executive Committee of the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) UK.
