The UK's biggest consumer electronics publisher Future Publishing, and leading show organiser Centaur Exhibitions, create the future of home technology shows
Future Publishing and its T3 title - the world's number one gadget magazine - have joined with Centaur Media subsidiary Centaur Exhibitions to create The T3 Smart Home Show. This is a major repositioning of the Smart Homes Show that has run twice alongside The National Homebuilding & Renovating Show at the NEC in Birmingham. The new show will co-locate with the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show at the NEC in March 2007 and it will feature the latest collections of domestic technology.
Majoring on home installation, home entertainment technology, security, lighting and media-streaming electronics, The T3 Smart Home Show will bring your home technology to a proven audience of the 50,000 visitors who regularly attend the Homebuilding & Renovating and Smart Home Shows. These visitors have an average budget for projects of 116,852 (Data: Vivid Interface 2006).
Calum Taylor, managing director of Centaur Exhibitions says, "The Smart Home Show was originally born out of the hugely successful Homebuilding & Renovating Shows - as in today's world creating your dream home increasingly includes specifying the latest entertainment, automation and lighting technology. Centaur is delighted to be re-branding the show as The T3 Smart Home Show and to be working with Future to take what is already a very successful show to the next level."
Future Publishing is the UK's market-leading consumer electronics magazine publisher, with an unrivalled 46% of the market. T3's involvement will stretch to liaising with top consumer electronics manufacturers and selecting the finest home entertainment products for display at the show.
The launch of the show also coincides with the launch of T3 Home Magazine, a new quarterly focused on showcasing the best in domestic technology, for every room in the house.
James Beechinor-Collins, editor-in-chief of T3, said "This is a fantastic opportunity to bring the T3 brand to a wider audience. We've been really impressed with Centaur during our relationship over the last couple of years and felt confident enough to strengthen that relationship in order to bring something completely new to the British public".
