February 13th, 2007: Centaur has re-launched its November 2005 acquisition, Logistics Europe, as Supply Chain Standard. The relaunch takes effect from the February issue and the design of the magazine has been modernised and content has been re-aligned to better reflect the information needs of senior European supply chain executives.
Commenting on the re-launch, publisher, Dan King says, "Business faces an increased focus on the social and environmental management of global supply chains whilst still needing to deliver profits for shareholders. Our readers grapple with this challenge every day and the new Supply Chain Standard aims to give them information and support to help them. The importance of supply chain management has become increasingly apparent over recent years with companies like Dell featured in February's issue using it to gain clear competitive advantage. With the increased use of outsourced manufacturing and the potential of new markets like China, managing the supply chain has moved from a cinderella' function to a key management issue."
The new-look magazine complements Centaur's European Supply Chain Excellence Awards, which were held in London last November with the International Red Cross winning the top prize.
Published monthly, Supply Chain Standard reaches a pan European audience of senior supply chain managers and directors.
